Madonna’s divorce from Guy Ritchie (film director whom she married in 2000 and raises 3 children with) has been a word of mouth for some time now. But it wasn’t until recently that the news has been heard from her own lips. Madonna confirmed the official break up with Richie and also confessed that it is being very hard to let go.

Nevertheless the star is able to find blessing in disguise. Now she has an opportunity to dive into work. Madonna admits: “I'm sad about my personal life, but I feel very blessed and very lucky that I have the opportunity to do what I do in my professional life.” At the moment it is the “Sticky and Sweet” world tour “providing a distraction” which is keeping her going. She says: “It would be horrible if I was just thinking about getting a divorce and had nothing to do.”

The star was also seen with her previous husband Sean Penn (whom she was married to from 1985 up to 1987). Madonna and Penn were noticed drinking together at New York’s Greenwich Hotel after one of Madonna’s concerts. The former couple has revived their relationship but according to a source it is not about romance. The source commented upon it: “They have a nice rapport. There's nothing romantic there. They're just good friends.”
